The Cloud is defining the transformation of how we use IT, especially more so in the past one year since the pandemic broke out and the ensuring lockdowns over extensive periods made it a challenge for people to get to their workplaces. Cloud based services emerged as the alternative to on premise IT to sustain Business operations as the work from home trend gained ground.
Fast forward to the present and it is widely believed that a hybrid work culture is here to stay. And while that be so, the cloud services ecosystem has evolved at a brisk pace, ensuring the need for a Cloud First IT strategy as the way to the future for all organizations. Today organizations are embracing a multi cloud strategy to leverage the best of the cloud services as well as making sure they can always have some of the critical workloads in their private cloud.
The Middle East region and especially the GCC is on the fast track towards adopting the best of cloud strategies. The arrival of regional cloud data centres of the global public cloud service providers is also a key driver in accelerating cloud adoption.
